Juneteenth of Palm Beach County

Programs

Celebration that funds opportunity

The festival is the front door. These programs are the work that continues every month of the year.

What we run all year

Three programs, each one meeting students where they already are — in a classroom, in a summer afternoon, or at the start of an idea they want to build.
01
GCC Young Entrepreneurship

Globally & Culturally Curated (GCC) Young Entrepreneurship Program

Where culture meets entrepreneurship. GCC inspires young leaders to think globally, embrace their heritage, and build the confidence to turn big ideas into action.
Students work through an idea the way a founder would — research it, shape it, and present it out loud — with mentors and peers in the room.

Celebrity Book Readers

Community Celebrity Book Reader Initiative

Local leaders. Big stories. Each month, a community changemaker steps into the classroom to bring literacy to life for our students.
A familiar face from the neighborhood reads with a class, so a book becomes an invitation and a student sees themselves in a story.

03
Summer Slide Camp

Preventing the Summer Slide Mini Summer Camp

Minds sharp all summer long! Fun-filled days of learning, play, and adventure that help students stay ahead — even during summer break.
Hands-on activities, games and outdoor time keep reading and reasoning warm so the school year starts where the last one ended.

How our programs connect

How it connects
A reader walks into a classroom. A student stays sharp through the summer. A young leader builds something real and presents it to a room.
The students who put in that work are the ones we recognize — and that is exactly how our scholarship fund finds its recipients.
Scholarship Fund

Recognition that starts inside our programs

The fund exists for one reason: to help a young person we have already been working with take the next step. Awards are shaped around what a student actually needs — the deposit, the books, the laptop, the ride to campus.

How students are chosen

Scholarships are earned, not applied for. Recipients are selected from students already taking part in our Globally & Culturally Curated program — young people we have taught, mentored and watched grow. There is no public application, because the relationship comes first.

Where a gift goes

Every dollar given to this fund is held for a student’s next step, and each recipient stays connected to the programs that supported them along the way.

Support the mission

Fund a scholarship, change a trajectory

A single gift can cover books, housing deposits or the final gap that keeps a student enrolled.
